Protest of Bahria Town Residents Against Shifting of Boys Campus Bahria Town School Lahore to Bahria Orchard School Lahore

Bahria Town School & College Lahore admitted hundreds of students and announced that its new campus in Janiper Block Sector C would be a Boys Campus. All of sudden Management of Bahria Town Lahore decided to hand over the newly purpose build campus to Beaconhouse School System which opened its Premier Branch on August 28, 2014. Its detail could be seen on following blog post:

Bahria Town Lahore management decided to shift all the boys classes from class 4 and above. To facilitate the residents they offered pick and drop on nominal charges of Rs.1,000/= per month.

All of parents (especially who shifted recently and admitted their young boys in Sector C branch) were shocked with the decision. They tried to register their concern but their problem was not addressed. Now they have continued their protest from last three days.

It was first opening day in Bahria Town School Lahore today after summer holidays. The parents spent few hours to register their protest. Finally it was informed that Malik Riaz Hussain Sahib, Chairman Bahria Town would see into the matter personally.

And thanks to Malik Riaz Hussain who decided that all students who were shifted to Orchard would have their classes in Bahria Town School (Basement of Mosque Sector C - Campus M) from Monday 15th Septermber till such time they are OFF.
Bahria Town School Sector B will remain Open as per current plan of (Boys and Girls from Class 1 to 3) and for Girls from class 4 to Matric, O-Level and Inter.

I don't understand the protest. Why are they protesting against moving to Bahria Orchard building? I m sure it is just as good, or not?

  2. The parent find no justification that their 9 years son will commute to Bahria Orchard School (at least 40 hours in the morning and 40 hours in the noon). Many of them shifted to Bahria Town due to school availability close-by.

    I think 40 mins not hours .
Now what's they decided ? i think it is a temporary solution. What ll be the final solution? I heard Beaconhouse purchased the building from bahria. So i think now bahria have to move the boys branch to orchard or make a new one in any sector.
    What do you say?

    1. Thanks for the correction please. Yes it is 40 minutes not 40 hours. Sorry.

The decision is not fully clear yet but it is clear that Boys shifted to Bahria Orchard School will not need to go there anymore. The arrangement of their classes would be made within Bahria Town Lahore (in the basement area of Bahria grand mosque). Whatever the situation it may be, the education of kids will suffer a lot. Moreover it will hurt the teachers and school management as they are not taking into confidence for any decision made.
The untimely decision of Bahria Town Management about handing over the building to Beaconhouse School System and then sending texts to the parents of Bahria Town School students for getting admission in Beaconhouse has disturbed the consistency in Bahria Town School.

I fully agree with you that it is a temporary solution of the issue. Bahria Town school needs a proper building for its boys campus. It is not difficult for Bahria Town to construct a building within this year.
